A Little Test on the Sovereignty of God

1. Is God a sovereign God? Yes___ No___ (Webster defines sovereign as "one who exercises supreme power; a supreme ruler) See Psalm 19:1

2. Is God sovereign over His creation? Yes___ No___ (That is, does He direct His universe as He sees fit?) See Daniel 4:35

3. Is God sovereign in the salvation of sinners? Yes___ No___ (That is, does God rule over who lives with Him eternally, or is man sovereign in this one area) See Romans 8, 9, Ephesians 1, John 10, John 3.

If you answered "yes" to all of the above, you made a 100!! Congratulations! Unfortunately, most folks only made a 66 (which as we all know is an "F" :-( , sorry).

Most folks will gladly acknowledge that God is sovereign in everything but salvation.

Man, not God, is the one who decides the destinies of men, which is completely contrary to what the Bible plainly says. God would like to save everyone, but alas, He can not, because some will not allow Him.

Is that the God which the Bible evidently sets forth (Bonus question)?

May God grant us all a vision of His sovereignty in all things to His glory and our good.
